Yesterday, Wired broke the story that Instagram is trialling ‘likeless’ posts in the US from next week and the comments are rolling in. Whilst causing consternation for some, many users in Canada have already had this feature trialled and are seemingly quite positive about the change. You are still able to see your post likes but no-one else can, and the feeling of inhibition has led to more unhindered content creation.

Obviously, this is a trial and we are yet to see it here in the UK, but we think this could be a positive uptick in social media progression. Unless you subscribe to the growing trend of screenshotting and uploading your likes to stories that is... ?
